New Concept in Investing

A guy called Hardeep Walia who used to be Microsoft chief of investments, and Tariq Hallaly who ran a successful hedge fund, have created a new business that allows investors to invest inexpensively in what they call "Motifs" which are groups of 30 companies in specific areas. Its an interesting idea, in effect you get an ETF or fund for a one time investment with low charges, plus you can tailor the fund you choose by altering the mix. So say you like the motif mobile money, but one of the 30 stocks you think is a dog, you can sell that stock out of your fund for $4.95 and add something else. One can invest from as little as $250 in a motif.
